Vector PFD
Engineered for paddlers, by paddlers, the fully-featured Vector PFD redefines safety. With superior comfort and mobility, the Vector's enhanced rescue features give whitewater paddlers and rescue professionals the confidence to push their limits safely.
The innovative Orbit Fit System uses thin layers of preformed foam to create a circular wrap design that truly conforms to individual bodies. The resulting low-profile designs fit snug without overtightening to enhance comfort and range of motion. Additionally, each PFD platform was designed using a graded sizing system that accounts for differences in paddler stature and weight to deliver the optimal amount of floatation for each size range in the most compact, easy-to-wear PFD.
The Vector features wrap-around foam panels for enhanced core protection without sacrificing mobility and continuous, interconnected webbing that creates an internal harness for maximum security in live bait scenarios. The 1.5" quick-release rescue belt with an aluminum attachment ring combines with two easy-release carabiner attachment points to aid in advanced rescue scenarios.
Additional features include:
- A compartmentalized, zippered, drop-down, clamshell pocket
- Additional dual-entry, zippered pocket holds a flip line or skull cap for fast retrieval
- Attachment points for a knife, lights or strobe
- Extensive 3M® reflective accents for increased visibility
- Fixed blade lash tab and folding knife sleeve
- AirMesh lining on the lower back for added ventilation
- 100% recycled, PVC-free Ethafoam

A recovery stroke uses the blade and the body to prevent capsizing. The low recovery is a reliable stroke that will improve confidence in dynamic conditions. I have a gash that is about 2 inches long. Immediately next to the fin is attached to the board. Mine is the body glove performer. It’s an older model and the fins look like they’re just glued or attached to the board. They don’t come out. the rip is right next to where those are attached the board the only way to patch. It is going to be with a patch that goes from the soft flexible material of the board and then go onto the hard plastic of the fit itself. I don’t know if if that’s even possible.

Great adventure and excellent video, thank you for sharing. Always interesting to hear from the local Hopi and Navajo how these changes have really affected them over time. We really need to evaluate the next 100 years before moving forward with a new river contract in 2026. Securing the Navajo their promised share of all this water being wasted for profit downstream is critical after all this time and what Glen Canyon Dam did to the area.

Such a relief to roll up after being flipped in an eddy line or rapid. My best advice is to have a step by step plan for the roll and practice talking yourself through those steps. When an eddy line flips you over focus on following the steps, roll up, then worry about the river.

The boat it has to be inflated when you are putting the patch?

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB 27 днів тому

While not always necessary, or possible, to have the boat inflated when applying patches, folks can often find the process to be easier when the tubes are inflated.

Really great to see this stuff. One thing I never did get about tying the paddles to the thwart for portaging. I've tried it, and it's very comfortable but predominantly I just use a portaging thwart. Since I've only ever fallen while carrying a canoe with a portaging thwart, I can't quite understand how safe or dangerous it might be to fall while carrying one with lashed paddles. In any event, a portaging thwart can be hand-made out of wood just like the overall canoe itself, so it seems like it would be compatible with the keewaydin ethos.

I knew there was a camera crew but, I had no idea this film was even in existence. My husband, BILL Gribbb, who spoke os JWPowell was a god, was part of this expidition. He was very sick at this time..and I was very concerned about him taking this trip. Tom and crew took good care. I had no idea this film was dedicated to him. He would be so humbled. I am so proud. Thank you, Tom Minckley, for your kind gesture.

Your promo videos and website for this are nice and all, but what I really want to know before I commit is how many rivers in my area (Connecticut) are actually in the system? It looks like a great app, but it's only useful if it's really really loaded with data for rivers everywhere, not just certain rivers. For instance, American Whitewater has almost nothing for my state.

The name and description within the video and your web site are terribly confusing! I think you have *two* separate items, which just happen to be sold together: A quick-change pad, with enclosing sides (great idea!) -- *and* a conventional duffle bag. Correct? I'll bet if you make this cleaerer to potential buyers, and offer the quick-change pad as an optional solo item, you will sell a lot more.

Great info, thanks. I've got PVC tubes and the tape/band that holds the tubes to the rigid hull have come away. I was thinking to use acetone to clean and g-flex to bond. Is that what you'd do?
